Thompson signing books
Jan Thompson of Jacksonville will be on hand to sign her autobirogaphy, “The Widow’s Might,” at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Texas Bookstore in Bullard.
Neches VFD concert
The Neches Volunteer Fire Department presents The Kingsmen Quartet live in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, March 14 at the Neches High School gym. Advance tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12 years old. Preschool aged children get in free. Advance tickets can be purchased from any member of the Neches VFD, Van’s Grocery in Neches and Marie’s Christian Gifts & Books in Jacksonville.
Jacksonville Tabernacle of Praise revival
Jacksonville Tabernacle of Praise is holding a revival March 14-16 at the church, 532 S. Bolton St., Jacksonville. Featured guests will be Benny Brooks and Micheal Bobbit. The revival starts at 7 p.m. March 14, 6:30 p.m. March 15 and 2 p.m. March 16. Call 903-586-6080 for more information.

Easter egg hunt

The Voice of Elvis & Legends in concert
Jesse Aron, one of the most sought-after Elvis impersonators in America returns to the Palestine Civic Center during The Voice of Elvis & Legends concert at 7 p.m. March 15. Living will seminar
Prairie View A&M University’s Extension Agent Rene’ McCracken is hosting a seminar comparing the differences in passing property on to your loved ones with a will or living trust. The seminar will be held at noon, Tuesday, March 18, at the fellowship hall of the Jacksonville First United Methodist Church, 1031 SE Loop 456, Jacksonville. Lunch will be served and all materials provided for a $6 registration fee collected at the door. All who attend must pre-register. Craft-Turney Water Supply Corp. meeting
Craft-Turney Water Supply Corporation’s annual meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, at the corporation office, 505 SE Loop 456, Jacksonville. The Board of Directors and employees appreciate your vote, interest and support to the water corporation. Members need to be sure to vote for three directors. Afton Grove Baptist Easter egg hunt

First Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt
Jacksonville First Baptist Church will have a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 22. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the hunt will start at 1:30 p.m. All children through third grade are welcome.
Kids First Weekday Education enrollment
Kids First Weekday Education is now enrolling for the 2008-09 school year. Classes are available for children ages 2 years, 3 years and Pre-K. Hours are 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pottery show opens
in Lufkin
The Museum of East Texas in Lufkin will present “Pots and Process: The Works of David Hendley with Documentary Photographs by R.P. Washburne” March 1 through May 31. The artists will be honored at a public opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 1.
