Neches VFD concert
The Neches Volunteer Fire Department presents The Kingsmen Quartet live in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, March 14 at the Neches High School gym. Advance tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12 years old. Preschool aged children get in free. Advance tickets can be purchased from any member of the Neches VFD, Van’s Grocery in Neches and Marie’s Christian Gifts & Books in Jacksonville.
Tabernacle of Praise revival
Jacksonville Tabernacle of Praise is holding a revival March 14-16 at the church, 532 S. Bolton St., Jacksonville. Featured guests will be Benny Brooks and Micheal Bobbit. The revival starts at 7 p.m. March 14, 6:30 p.m. March 15 and 2 p.m. March 16. Call 903-586-6080 for more information.
Rusk Kiwanis Easter egg hunt
Rusk Kiwanis Club and Brookshire Brothers Easter Egg hunt starts at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 15, at Jim Hogg Park in Rusk. The event is free to the public. The hunt is open to toddlers to children up to age 10. For additional information, please call Kelly Clay, 903-743-5543.
The Voice of Elvis & Legends in concert
Jesse Aron, one of the most sought-after Elvis impersonators in America returns to the Palestine Civic Center during The Voice of Elvis & Legends concert at 7 p.m. March 15. Choir anniversary

New Community United Methodist Church is celebrating its annual choir anniversary at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 16 at the church, 920 MLK Jr. Blvd., Jacksonville. Guest speaker will be the Rev. R.L. Lynch of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Jacksonville.
Texas ABATE Confederation meeting
The regular monthly meeting of the District 11 Chapter of the Texas ABATE Confederation will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Lupe’s Mexican restaurant on East Rusk Street in Jacksonville.Topics to be discussed include participation in Relay for Life in April; Share the Road signs; the May Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month blood drive; and NCOM convention plans. Holy Week prayer
Holy Week prayer services sponsored by the Jacksonville Ministerial Alliance will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, March 17, through Thursday, March 20 at First Christian Church, corner of Beaumont Avenue and Corinth Street in Jacksonville. Join with fellow Christians to reflect on scripture, share messages of Holy Week hope from local pastors and prayer for our community. A free lunch is provided each day by local churches. Living will seminar
Prairie View A&M University’s Extension Agent Rene’ McCracken is hosting a seminar comparing the differences in passing property on to your loved ones with a will or living trust. Craft-Turney Water Supply Corp. meeting

First Baptist Easter egg Hunt
Jacksonville First Baptist Church will have a community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 22. Registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the hunt will start at 1:30 p.m. All children through third grade are welcome.

Jacksonville Al-Anon Family group meets at 6:30 p.m. every Monday at the First United Methodist Church, on Loop 456 and Corinth Road, in Jacksonville. Use the Adult Sunday school door.
Healing room offered
River of Life Christian Church in Rusk has recently opened a Healing Room in which they offer prayer free of charge to anyone in need of healing. If you would like to come for prayer, the Healing Room is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday though Thursday or by appointment. Call 903-683-3132 for details.
Eastern Star cookbook
Jacksonville 337 chapter of the Eastern Star has collected 550 of the best recipes from group members, family and friends and compiled then into an attractive keepsake cookbook. English classes
The Jacksonville Literacy Council is offering at 10 a.m. each Friday at the Literary Council office, 215 E. Commerce St., Suite 215 A in Jacksonville. The class is open to any interested person and will teach basic speaking, reading and writing in English as well as citizenship participation.
