JHS’s Brackston McKnight receives Boardwalk Scholarship

JACKSONVILLE — Brackston McKnight, a 2014 graduate of Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Texas, recently was selected to receive the Boardwalk Pipeline Partners Scho-larship. Brackston will be attending Texas A&M University starting in the Fall 2014.  

He  is seeking a career in Agribusiness and expects to graduate in May 2018.  Brackston won a youth achievement award from Cherokee County Soil and Water Conservation and was a State Proficiency Award Winner in Nursery Operation. Brackston is the son of Kenneth and Tina McKnight.

To advance educational opportunities for local students, Boardwalk funds a scholarship program for qualifying seniors who attend high schools located on property where Boardwalk operates. Recipients receive a $1,000 scholarship for full-time study at an accredited two- or four-year institution of their choice.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
