Volunteer group helps make lake ready for summertime

JACKSONVILLE — J'ville Volunteers are a newly formed local organization working alongside city officials on various restoration projects in Jacksonville, Texas. The group was founded by Cassie Devillier, Juliana Swanson Peacock, Jessica Chambless, Vicki Houser  and Whitney Graham Carter.  Ongoing projects include restoration of Stacy Hunter Rec Center Park, organization and painting of city's 600 fire hydrants, Downtown Jacksonville zeriscaping and the Little Free Library Project. Restoration of all parks in Jacksonville is high on the priority list.  J'ville Volunteers is a fast-growing database of locals who want the best for their community and are ready to roll up their sleeves to make it happen.  If you have a project idea or would like to join in fast, easy and fun, projects like these, please email: jvillevolunteers@gmail.com

J’ville volunteers were thrilled to work alongside Jacksonville College students under the leadership of Kaley Dean, Dean of Students.

J'ville Volunteers for the beach project include: Kara Hancock, Cassie Devillier, Jessica Chambless, Whitney Graham Carter and Jacksonville College students, under the leadership of Kaley Dean, including: Bria Freeland, Jake Eynon, Aaron Bryant, Julio Lazo, Jessica Perez, Ka'nicia Thomas, Genesis Morales, Alfredo Vasquez, Amy Contrarez and Jose Eusebio.
