Superintendent contract, construction project top J’ville ISD agenda

JACKSONVILLE — The JISD Board of Trustees, during a 6:30 p.m. meeting Monday at the district administration office, 800 College Avenue, will consider and approve finalization of an evaluation earlier this month of schools superintendent, Dr. Joe Wardell.

Among other items, trustees also will review consider and approve design plans for a new West Side Elementary Campus and authorize renovation at Nichols Intermediate Campus, and subsequently authorize architects to proceed with a design development phase for both.

The two projects will be funded through a $22,785,000 bond election, held Nov. 5. During the meeting, trustees also will “review the bond sales results and adopt the order authorizing the issuance of school building bonds, Seres 2014, and take all necessary action thereof,” according to the Jan. 27 agenda.
