Rusk police officials search for suspect in store robbery

RUSK — Rusk police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Pic-N-Pac, 1200 block of W. 6th Street, in Rusk on Tuesday.

According to a press release, a black male entered the store about 10 p.m. wearing dark pants, a black and gray plaid hooded jacket and a long sleeve shirt with a gun.

The man showed the clerk a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money and a bottle of wine, the release from Lt. Brad George stated.

The man then left the store with an undisclosed amount of property. He was seen leaving (as a passenger) in a silver colored, likely to be a Chevy Impala or Malibu 4-door sedan, traveling east bound on Loop 343 towards U.S. Hwy 69.

The man is descirbed as being in his mid-twenties, about 5-feet 9-inches tall and 175 pounds.
