DAR to meet today at First United Methodist

JACKSONVILLE — The Major Thaddeus Beall Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 2 p.m. today at Jacksonville's First United Methodist Church, 1031 Southeast Loop 456.

The program topic will be “DAR Supported Schools,” presented by chapter members Mary Taylor of Jacksonville, Linda Risinger of Reklaw, Carolyn McCall of Bullard and Vivian Cates of Alto.

Each member will present a brief summary of the history of a different school either originally formed in the very early 1900’s by NSDAR or currently supported by NSDAR chapters nationwide.
