H.O.P.E. event – A fun time for important cause

JACKSONVILLE — Britian Saye of the Castle on the Lake says the fundraiser benefitting H.O.P.E. next month is a celebration and one of the biggest social events of the year.

“All the supporters of H.O.P.E. get together to celebrate what it does for our community. It's just a wonderful evening of music, dining, dancing, and mingling with great company,” Saye said. “If you have not been before, you are missing out."

And HOPE provides a vast array of service to Jacksonville – so a large celebration is in order.

Saye said she believes the biggest contribution the center offers the community is “unduplicated services.”

She said these services include a backpack program for malnourished children, H.O.P.E. Kitchen providing hot meals plus emergency food services, prescription assistance, referrals for physical and mental services, financial planning courses and other life skill classes, low or no cost transportation van for medical appointments, health screenings for diabetes and blood pressure, and much more.

On April 12, supporters will congregate at the Castle on the Lake for “A Renaissance Evening.” The event helps raise funds to ensure the center can offer their many services to those in need.

“We at the Castle on the Lake love hosting the H.O.P.E. event and working with all the fabulous volunteers and all of the many generous Cherokee County supporters,” Saye said.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with an auction beginning at 7 p.m, Saturday, April 12. The event features silent and live auctions, dinner and dancing. Cost is $50 per person. For information, call H.O.P.E. at 903-586-7781 or visit www.hopecenter.info.
