Commissioners set to discuss possible closure of county road

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Cherokee County Commissioners will hold a public hearing concerning the possible closure of County Road 2402 during at 10 a.m. meeting Monday at the county courthouse.

They also will consider approval to purchase a diesel aircraft tug from Tiffin Aire for the airport, along with consider approving a contract for one or more precincts to purchase a stockpile of material from Cherokee County Motor Park Inc.

Other agenda items include:

• Consider approval of an interlocal agreement with the City of Cuney and  Pct. 3, which will assume all road maintenance within the city limits;

• Consider acceptance of Audit Report from Patillo Brown for the year ending September 30, 2013;

• Consider approval of Maintenance Agreement with Vaisala for AWOS;

• Consider approval of lease agreement between Cherokee County and Emily B. Coats for hangar #20 at Cherokee County Airport;

• Consider approval to grant extension of time to Triad Asset Management to build hangar #37 at Cherokee County Airport;

• Consider approval of assignment of lease between Edward Snider and E.G. & A.M. Snider Living Trust; and

• Consider request to set a public hearing to lower the speed limit to 35 mph on County Roads 4910, 4911,4912 and 4918.
