St. Paul Baptist Church, located at 558 N. Main St. in Jacksonville, is blessed to announce its new pastor, Sedrick Moore. Pastor Moore, his wife Marquisha and their children, Jericka, Sedaria and Chris, come to St. Paul from New Generation Baptist Church in Tyler.

The church members look forward to a long and fruitful fellowship. Services at St. Paul Baptist Church are as follows: Sunday School at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m., and Wednesday night Bible study at 7 p.m. The public is invited for any and all services. Craft Baptist Church plans

Sunday, during the evening worship service, the GMA will have an awards presentation. Afterward, in the Gaylor-Family Life Center, there will be a reception with sandwiches, chips and dips. Several girls and sponsors from Craft Baptist GMA will attend the National GMA camp at Daniel Springs, Tuesday through Friday, June 13-16.

Libby Ross will attend and represent Craft Baptist Church, Cherokee Association, and Miss Texas GMA. Others of the church plan to attend the coronation on Thursday evening. Craft’s Vacation Bible School will be held from 9-11:15 a.m. daily June 13-16. Chris Winkler is the director, and the Rev. Leon Ross is pastor.

New Prospect Baptist holds Vacation Bible School

New Prospect Baptist Church will hold a three-day Vacation Bible School Monday through Wednesday. The Vacation Bible School theme is “Getting Fit With Jesus.” The church is located on Hwy. 747 North. First Presbyterian Church of Tyler hosts A. D. Players National Touring Company

One of the nation’s most innovative theater companies, A. D. Players, will perform “The Elevator” by Jeannette Clift George on Sunday at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church of Tyler located at 230 West Rusk Street. There will also be special music provided by the Del Alma Guitar Quartet before the show. This will be a show that you and your children don’t want to miss! The event is free and open to the public.

Trapped in an elevator for the weekend and wondering what to do?  This hilarious comedy examines four people, their relationships, life choices, and need for rescue in a comic romp that is also a gentle allegory for Christ’s sacrificial rescue of humanity.

East Texas Southern Gospel Singing Jubilee at Sunset

A great evening of some of the finest Southern gospel music in East Texas will be presented from 7-10 p.m. Friday evening, June 16, at Sunset Baptist Church, 1720 S. Bolton St. in Jacksonville. Some of the invited groups are The Calvary Singers, The Jubal-Heirs, The Adams Family, The Martins, “His Ministry” Band, and soloists Richard Mabry, Dan Morrison, Tonya Johnson and Stacy Brady.
