BULLARD — David Moody, a member of the Bullard High School Marching Band, was selected as a member of the 2007 All-State Association of Texas Small School All-State Band.

He was chosen for the honor in competitive auditions held this year across the state at region and area levels. Moody plays percussion and is the drum line captain for BHS marching band, under the direction of Gary Jordan, who is a member of the ATSSB, a 1,000-member group of band directors in class 1A, 2A and 3A high schools in Texas. Moody was chosen as a tympani player to perform in this year’s ATSSB All-State band.

His other interests in school include the Key Club and Spanish Club. He is also active in church activities at Bethel Bible Church and enjoys playing golf and tennis, as well. He is the son of Joe and Anne Moody of Bullard.

More than 9,000 high school band students from across Texas auditioned in 20 different regions for a place in their respective all-region bands. The top chairs in each region advanced to one of the five area auditions accross the state, and only 240 of these 1,360 students were selected for all-state honors.
