Austin Bank recently honored employees for their outstanding work and years of service with the company. They were recognized at the Bank’s 2019 Service Award Luncheon held December 3 at the Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler.
“We are proud of all these employees because they work as a team serving our friends, neighbors and businesses located here in East Texas,” said Austin Bank Vice Chairman Jeff Austin III. “They are the key to our Bank’s success. Each one takes pride in the tasks they handle in their job; and at the same time these employees continually strive to provide excellent service to our Bank customers.”

Williams, President and CEO. “Each one has earned and deserves this recognition for their dedicated commitment to the Bank and its customers. We are proud of their contributions and accomplishments.”
This year’s annual luncheon honored a group of 53 employees with a combined total of 730 years of experience. Jacksonville recipients include:
Twenty-five Year Service Award
Rosemary Frausto is a Teller in the Jacksonville downtown office. With more than 30 years of banking experience, she has held several positions during her tenure including Customer Service Representative and Loan Documentation Specialist. Frausto and her husband, Robert, live in Jacksonville and have one son and one grandson. She is very active in her church, Our Lady of Sorrows, and assists with many program there including the youth group. A graduate of Dumas High School, Frausto has attended Tyler Junior College and West Texas State in Canyon, Texas.
Fifteen Year Service Award
Crystal Bateman, Vice President/Lending Officer, is an excellent example of growing within the company. In her fifteen-year tenure, Bateman has worked as a Teller, Loan Assistant, Bank Officer and Portfolio Manager before assuming her current position. A graduate of Rusk High School and the University of Texas at Tyler, Bateman has also completed Austin Bank’s Lending School I and II; Leadership I and II; and the Jacksonville Leadership Institute. She and her husband, Jarrod, live in Jacksonville with their children, Brilyn and Walker. Very active in the community, Bateman is a Member and past Board member for the Kiwanis Club; member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce where she has been recognized as 2017 Business Woman of the Year and received an Economic Development Division Chair Award; and member and Past President of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Alpha Rho Chapter.
Ten Year Service Award
Jaclyn Tyler, Assistant Vice President/Relationship Manager, started her career with Austin Bank in 2009 and brought with her a wealth of applicable knowledge having worked at a local law firm as a legal assistant. Tyler is a graduate of Jacksonville High School and Texas A&M Commerce. She has also completed Austin Bank Commercial and Consumer Lending School as well as Leadership I; the Jacksonville Leadership Institute; and the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Program. Jaclyn and her husband, Jon, reside in Jacksonville where she serves as Treasurer and Board member for the Jacksonville Education Foundation, Board member for Cherokee County Child Welfare Board and as Employee Division Chair for the United Fund.
Five Year Service Awards
Rossie Mireles is a Senior Credit Analyst working in the Tyler Cumberland Park office. She came to work for the Bank in 2014 as a Teller before moving to her current position. A resident of Jacksonville, Mireles is a graduate of Jacksonville High School, Tyler Junior College and the University of Texas at Tyler where she earned a Master’s in Business Administration. Mireles is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Darrell Thompson, Retail Office Manager for the Bank’s Troup location, joined Austin Bank in 2014 bringing with him more than ten years of previous banking experience. A graduate of Jacksonville High School, Thompson holds an Associate’s degree from Jacksonville College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. He and his wife, Sara, reside in Jacksonville with their children – Alexa, Bella and Jazzy.
