WELLS — A body found over the weekend in a Wells pasture has been identified, according to local law enforcement.
“About mid-day (Tuesday), a positive ID came back as Nicholas Alexander Pence, 22, of Wells,” said Wells Police officer Steve Cooper.
A badly decomposed body was discovered shortly after noon on Saturday in northwest Wells and was sent to Tyler for an autopsy.
“At this point we are still in our investigation. We are not sure when he (Pence) was last seen,” Cooper said. “There was information that people were looking for him, that they had not seen or spoken to him for several days.”
