Cherokee County: Information sought in theft involving Pct. 2 equipment

On March 4, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office received a report of a theft in the vicinity of County Roads 2117 and 2120 in Maydelle.

According to a release issued Tuesday by the CCSO, the theft occurred between Feb. 28 and March 4. Taken during the theft were two large batteries from a road maintainer/grader, a two-way handheld radio and other miscellaneous items belonging to the Cherokee County Precinct 2 road crew.

An individual in the area also reported a theft during the same time period of batteries from farm equipment, the release said.
