Union Pacific’s historic Big Boy steam locomotive No. 4014 is touring the Union Pacific system throughout 2019 to commemorate the transcontinental railroad's 150th anniversary.

It will be coming through Jacksonville on Sunday morning from 9:15 to 9:30 a.m. at the Patton Street crossing (see schedule below).

The Big Boy’s return to the rails is the result of more than two years of meticulous restoration work by the Union Pacific Steam Team, and No. 4014 is the world's only operating Big Boy locomotive.

Those who wish to see the locomotive should stand at least 25 feet from the railroad tracks, and never assume the tracks are abandoned or inative. Use caution when getting near a railroad track.

Running times and scheduled stops are subject to change, but here is the schedule for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
