Jacksonville ISD officials recently announced T.J. Rucker as the new interim principal for Nichols Intermediate.
The current principal, Ms. Searcy, will be out for an extended period of time for personal reasons, according to officials.
Rucker has served as
principal at the Compass Center/Empowerment Academy for the past four years, performing duties that range from discipline, campus improvement plans, campus safety, RTI, ARDs, small group intervention, TTESS evaluations and public relations with parents and stakeholders.
He has worked closely with all Jacksonville principals during his tenure in JISD, and has served as a sponsor for the Student Ambassador Team. Rucker will lead Nichols Intermediate along with assistant principals Courtnie Miller and Rachael Rogers.
“We look forward to Mr. Rucker’s leadership and are excited about the experienced team of administrators in place on the Nichols Intermediate campus,” said a release from JISD.
