A Jacksonville woman charged with one count of cruelty to a non-livestock animal remains in the Cherokee County Jail Tuesday on bonds totaling $16,000.
Kimberly Ivonae Diaz, 18, was arrested Dec. 24, 2019, by the Jacksonville Police Department on a warrant issued by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office for the charge. Diaz was also charged with possession of marijuana, according to an arrest report.
The warrant was issued as part of a Cherokee County Grand Jury indictment, according to CCSO records coordinator Ann York, who added that the case is being investigated.
No other information was available as of press deadline Tuesday.
