The 2019 Jacksonville Tomato Fest was a two-day celebration of all things tomato as well as the grand opening of the recently renovated Historic Tomato Bowl, the city's historic stadium built as part of a a federal works administration project in 1940.

The grand opening was held the eve of the festival, on June 7, and included a concert by native son Neal McCoy, while the June 8 festivities included various tomato-oriented contests, a car show and sports tournaments, among others.

The Jacksonville Progress is proud to share with you a few scenes from this year's celebration.
