Jacksonville native named  to ‘Wall of Fame’

Carlos Wallace of Jacksonville was honored Wednesday, September 12. Carlos Wallace was the 2018 Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Wall of Fame inductee. The ceremony took place at the Norman Activity Center, 526 E. Commerce in downtown Jacksonville.

Carlos is from Jacksonville a navy veteran, railroad engineer for UTU, international organizer for one of the top rail unions in the world, bestselling author, businessman, President of Sol-Caritas, the most prominent entertainment management and philanthropy companies in the country, and a guest lecturer at Lone Star College where his bestselling book “Life Is Not Complicated, You Are” is part of the academic curriculum of the school’s Psychology program. He also has a second book, ‘The Other 99 T.Y.M.E.S: Training Your Mind To Enjoy Serenity.”

Austin Bank sponsored the shadow box with Nathan Jones, Shawn Eyre, Joan Malone and Janis Adams unveiling the 2018 Wall of Fame honoree, Carlos Wallace.

The Wall of Fame is an annual affair honoring local people who are outstanding in our community. Past recipients include Neal McCoy, LeeAnn Womack, Margo Martindale, former Dallas Cheerleaders Kelli Green, Niki Green and Shannon Swanson, NFL Players and brothers Luke, Randy and Josh McCown, Pete Lammons, Dr. Cordell Adams, Toby Gowin and Micah Hoffpauir.
