Water service in an area near the intersection of U.S. Highway 79 and Sycamore Street will be disrupted temporarily Friday as city workers relocate a water main.
According to a notice from the City of Jacksonville, “utilities customers in the affected area may experience low pressure and/or water service disruptions between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.”
The affected service area goes from Hwy 79 and Gillespie, south along South Pineda to Devereaux Street; east from Devereux to College Street, and North along College to Larissa Street. Water service is expected to be fully restored by 1 p.m.
“This work is a crucial part of a Texas Community Development Block Grant (TCDBG) project, and the City of Jacksonville apologizes for this inconvenience,” the notice read.
