The Alto Independent School District board of trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Alto ISD superintendent’s office.

The board will discuss the approval of Bob Williams as the election judge for the upcoming May 13 election and approve accounts payable for January-February 2006.

Other items on the agenda include the approval of an emergency operations plan, the approval of a computer purchase and discussing Update 77. The update includes numerous topics such as board members’ training, ethics, transportation management and textbook selection, to name a few.

School board members will also discuss the approval for applying for the start of a school waiver and the budget amendment.

Superintendent Lawayne Sheffield will give a report on the latest information regarding the conflict disclosure, and a closed session will follow his report.

To be discussed during closed session are the principal’s contracts, the athletic director’s contract, the hiring of a teacher, additional personnel and the high school counselor.

At 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, the school board will meet again in a special meeting during which a closed session will be held to review superintendent’s applications.
