Cherokee Civic Theatre is proud to announce the cast for “Confederate Spaghetti,” the final production of its 2005-06 season.

“Confederate Spaghetti” is a comedy about an Alabama ladies’ service club and their hilariously inept attempts to pull off the social event of the year. Cast as Teddy Prentiss, the club’s president, is Debra Haynes Breen with Linda Newton as Bess Everret, Teddy’s best friend (both are from Jacksonville).

Jane Parsons of Alto will perform the role of Mrs. Delbert Ashcraft, the club’s socialite member, while Jessica Breen-Ford will play Molly Sanders, the club’s young rock-n-roll fan. In the role of the ever-resourceful Georgia Roby is Castanya Elledge of Gallatin, with Charlotte Thompson as the watchful Ginny and Rex Burks as the town’s not-always-diplomatic mayor.

“Confederate Spaghetti” will be directed by its author, Minette Satterwhite Trent of Jacksonville, with Camille Jones of Rusk producing the show.

Evening performances of “Confederate Spaghetti” will run Friday April 28 and Saturday April 29 with the Sunday matinee on April 30th. For more information, contact Cherokee Civic Theatre at 903-683-2131 or
