The Cherokee Civic Theatre in Rusk is readying for their upcoming spring comedy, “Noises Off”.
Director Laura Cunningham said the players have been cast: The part of “Lloyd” was awarded to Eddie Breen; Sheilah O’Heaney will play “Dotty”; “Gary” will be portrayed by Caleb Summers; Jenni Daniels will be “Brooke”; Tim Howell will play the part of “Frederick”; “Belinda” will be acted by Castanya Breen; Dan Trent will be “Selsdon”; the part of “Poppy” has been awarded to Jessica Breen-Ford; and “Tim” will be portrayed by Michael Tapia.
“Noises Off”, by Michael Frayn, is a side-splitting play within a play — the story of a bumbling, second-rate theatrical troupe that prepares to perform in a Broadway-bound play. “Noises Off” is slated for April 29-30, May 1-2 and 7-8, at the historic Cherokee Civic Theatre, 157 W. 5th Street.
