GALLATIN — Gallatin City Council will vote Tuesday on whether to accept a septic system contract from Mike Pledger.
“We heard from them (the Pledgers) last meeting,” said Mayor Juanita Cotton, “and they proposed a contract to us then. Now, the council needs to make a decision on that.”
Cotton said Pledger discussed county rules and regulations on installing sewer septic systems during the last regularly scheduled council meeting, after Cotton received questions and concerns from citizens about rules for installing septic systems inside the city.
In other business council will also:
• hear a presentation from Daniel Bailey about the North Cherokee Volunteer Firefighter Association;
• hear from Mike Murray about any available grants for the city;
• hear any updates about the crime watch meetings, and Gopher Fest;
The Gallatin city council regularly meets every second Tuesday of the month 6:30 p.m. at city hall. Each meeting is opened to the public and includes time for citizen comments.
