The Jacksonville Independent School District board of trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room of the JISD administration building, 1547 Pine St.

According to JISD officials, survey results for the standardized dress poll will be presented. The poll was initiated after a concerned parent discussed the idea of district-wide standardized dress with Jacksonville High School Principal Duane Barber. School board members said in order to research the issue, feedback from community members is integral. Parents and community members were able to vote on-line and through ballots mailed with student report cards.

Other items on the agenda include vendor bids for custodial supplies and related materials, a resolution to participate in a commodity processing agreement with Northeast Texas Commodity Processing Cooperative, a resolution of the annual review of JISD investment policy and the renewal of the superintendent’s contract.

An executive session will also be held to discuss the third six-weeks benchmark test results and personnel recommendations.

The donation of dental supplies valued at $1,740.43 from the Kiwanis Club and a donation of almost $5,000 for a Christmas shopping trip for students served by JISD special education programs from Steve Mostyn will be discussed during the review of the district’s business reports.

An offer to purchase tax resale property and vendor bids for custodial supplies and related materials will also be presented.
