The Jacksonville Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 307 East Commerce St., and all property owners desiring to be heard should attend, according to a press release from the commission.

Three public hearings will be held during the meeting.

Ricky Brown is requesting a zone change at 3413 East Rusk St. for a multi-family dwelling district to become a commercial district. Brown has applied to have the tract of land divided into two lots, with only a portion of it for commercial use.

Brown is also requesting a zone change from a multi-family dwelling to a single family dwelling on the other portion of the tract.

Craig Barber is requesting a zone change at 110 Phillips St. to allow for a wholesale, warehouse and manufacturing district to become a one and two family dwelling district, to allow for a duplex.
