Jacksonville Police Department investigators are looking for a man they believe robbed the Family Dollar store about 7 p.m. Friday night in the 700 block of South Jackson Street.

“A clerk was waiting on a customer, and when the cash register opened, a black male grabbed a majority of the money from the register and fled the store on foot. He was seen entering into a waiting vehicle and driving away from the scene,” said Detective Daniel Franklin. “Around $500 in cash was taken from the cash register. There are no suspects at this time.”

The actor was described as a black male in his late 40s or early 50s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, of medium build, with a mustache. Franklin said the culprit fled the scene in a tan, older-model vehicle.
