Four people were arrested by the Rusk Police Department in late September on prostitution charges.
Police Chief Joe Evans said the incident occurred at the Southern Motor Inn in Rusk.
“The theft of some money was reported,” Evans said. “While investigating, we took statements from people. These people admitted to being involved in prostitution.”
Evans said several admitted to accepting money for sex.
Steven Williams, 46, Sammie Abdelqader, 21, and Alysia Barnett, 27, all from Rusk, were arrested and charged with prostitution at a $1,000 bond and subsequently released.
Devin Glenn, 29, of Tyler, was charged with promoting prostitution and subsequently released at a $2,000 bond.
