The Rusk Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 15th Annual Pioneer & Heritage Festival on Oct. 2 at the Rusk Civic Center, 555 Euclid St.
The day will include pioneer demonstrators, confederate soldiers, crafts, a food court and much, much more.
Other activities include a jam and jelly contest with a $25 prize and the 5th Annual Quilt Show.
Organizers encourage everyone to bring out their favorite jar of jam or their grandmother’s quilt from the bottom of the hope chest.
The festival begins at 9 a.m. and goes to 3 p.m.
After a day of seeing old friends, shopping and kicking back with a turkey leg, everyone is invited to brush off their cowboy boots and dig out those tight blue jeans for an evening of “boot scootin’” fun as country music stars come to town!
Pat Waters along with a special appearance by Chad Brock will be at the Rusk Civic Center.
The ticket office opens at 4 p.m. with an admission of $15, or just $12 if you prepay at the Rusk Chamber office, 184 S. Main St.
The concert begins at 6 p.m., and if Rusk rocks the night, organizers plan to do it all again next year with an even bigger venue.
