Special to the Progress

Kelly Traylor, owner of Traylor’s Plant Kare, helps plant flowers for Rep. Hopson and the Neches and Trinity Valleys Groundwater Conservation District offices in downtown Jacksonville. Traylor is a Jacksonville native who has owned Traylor’s Plant Kare for eighteen years.  He is a graduate of Jacksonville High School and a graduate from Stephen F. Austin University with an Animal Science and Biology degree.

Traylor said his work has been a labor of love.

“Jacksonville is my home and I’m proud of it.  This is where I’m raising my girls, and I want to help maintain its heritage and beauty. The downtown area has worked really hard the past few years keeping the storefronts clean. The added plants will help to continue that,” Traylor said.
