JACKSONVILLE – In celebration of National Infant Immunization Week, April 18-25, Cherokee County Public Health is offering immunizations to eligible children 2 years and younger through the Texas Vaccines for Children Program for $1 each.
According to the www2.aap.org, National Infant Immunization Week “celebrates the successes of immunization programs around the country and highlights the importance of immunizing. Since 1994, NIIW has served as a call to action for parents, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure that infants are fully immunized against 14 vaccine-preventable diseases, including influenza.”
No appointments are needed at the 510 E. Commerce St. clinic in Jacksonville. Hours are Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and from 1 to 6 p.m.
