This week brought something extra to Seniors along with food, as Gateway to American Opportunities provided FDIC “Money Smart for Older Adults” Resource Guides to the Cherokee County “Meals on Wheels” program.
The effort, in partnership with A Circle of Ten, Inc., was funded by Capital One Bank.
The free resource guide is designed to provide senior citizens with information and tips to help prevent common frauds, scams and other types of elder financial exploitation.
The resource guides were distributed by the “Meals on Wheels” staff and volunteers the week of Thanksgiving Holiday.
