New place of worship

Hundreds of Catholics from across East Texas gathered in Jacksonville, Saturday morning, for the dedication of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church’s new building. Representatives from the Knights of Columbus and the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, as well as many priests and deacons from around the region, were on hand as Bishop Alvaro Corrada, of the diocese of Tyler, consecrated the new church. A long procession of worshipers travel from the old Our Lady of Sorrows church building to the new one. Once inside, Bishop Corrada blessed the building with holy water.
