TYLER – Newly elected Promise Keepers president Vance Day will address an Oct. 3 East Texas Pastors Fellowship, held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Tyler Metro Church, 14136 Texas Highway 110 South, near Whitehouse.
Day – a former judge of the 3rd judicial District in Marion County, Oregon – will provide an update on the current status of the non-profit organization, which originated in the U.S., but now has branches established in Canada and New Zealand.
He will address “the desperate challenges facing men in today’s churches and society, explaining ways for pastors and churches to connect, and informing them of the relaunch of the Promise Keepers stadium events, the first being at AT&T Stadium in Arlington July 31-Aug. 1, 2020,” according to a news release.
“Judge Day also desires to hear from pastors and churches in the East Texas region regarding the challenges they face in reaching men. He hopes to gain partnership between churches and ministries that could help ignite a spiritual awakening among men in East Texas and throughout America,” the release stated.
The meeting is open to all pastors, staff, ministers and para-church ministry leaders in the East Texas region, as well as ministers' wives and women in ministry.
