Due to the inclement weather earlier in the summer, the road to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office was washed out on the edges and proved to be like an obstacle course going to and from the Sheriff’s Office and Jail.
Several county vehicles travel this roadway, in addition to the residents of Cherokee County coming to office to conduct business on a daily basis.
All four of the county precinct commissioners (Kelly Traylor, Steven Norton, Billy McCutcheon and Patrick Reagan), along with the City of Rusk Public Works Department, came together this week to make repairs to the roadway.
The Sheriff is appreciative of the commissioners and the city for handling the repairs to the roadway.
