Many boys and girls in Jacksonville spent a lot of their time reading this summer.
The summer reading program of the Jacksonville Public Library, 526 E. Commerce, officially began Monday, June 14, but there’s still time to register. This year’s program,“Tails and Tales,” will run through July 23.
The ribbon cutting for the Jacksonville Public Library is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, May 27. A grand-opening celebration event will occur from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at the new facility located at 526 E. Commerce Street.
