In a classic case of saving the best for last, Texas A&M reeled off 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to nab a 27-20 come from behind victory over Florida International at Kyle Field Saturday night.
The Aggies improve to 3-0 as a result of the win, while FIU, a member of the Football Championship Subdivision, drops to 0-2.
Cyrus Gray's 40-yard touchdown run that came with 4:29 to play in the contest turned out to be the game-winning score for the Aggies.
Following Gray's scoring romp, the Aggie defense was called upon to preserve the win (Texas A&M was able to stop the Golden Panthers by forcing GIU to turn the ball over on downs after moving all the way down to the Aggie 7-yard line).
Christian Michael led A&M in rushing, carrying the ball 21 times for 119 yards and a 37- yard touchdown that came with 13:51 left to play.
Texas A&M dominated most statistical categories, outgunning FIU 400 to 232 total yards whiled amassing 20 first downs to the Panthers' 13.
