TULSA — Keenen Johnson, a graduate of Alto High School, caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Seth Bonner on Saturday to help send Tulsa to a 49-19 win over Connecticut, in an American Athletic Conference (AAC) game that was played at H.A. Chapman Stadium in Tulsa.
The 6'-1”, 200 lb. junior had two grabs in the contest for a total of 34 yards.
His touchdown catch came with 3:34 to play in the opening half and was the second of six-consecutive touchdowns that the Golden Hurricane scored in the landslide win over the Huskies.
Johnson's score enabled the home team to increase its advantage to 21-13 at the time.
Tulsa (2-7, 1-4) will look to stay on the winning track at 11 a.m. Saturday by traveling to Memphis in another AAC contest.
