Jacksonville 27, Hallsville 14



Jacksonville snapped a five- week losing streak with a 27-14 win over Hallsville Friday night in the Tomato Bowl.

The Indians and Bobcats battled to a 14-all halftime tie. The second half belonged to the Tribe as they got scores from

Kelvin Hall on a 16-yard pass from Paxton Lindsey and the final Jacksonville score came on a 27-yard run by Jonathan Brown.

Hallsville was held scoreless in the second half with the Tribe led by Chris Williams who deflected four passes and record a sack.

Jacksonville is now 2-7 for the year, 1-5 in district. Hallsville falls to 2-7, 0-6.



Rusk won 25-15 in Center.



Alto 59,

Cross Roads 0



The Alto Yellowjackets lived up to their No. 1 ranking in the state with a 59-0 win over Cross Roads.

The Jackets roared to a 45-0 lead and never looked back as they took an easy win on the road.

Tarlandus Mitchell had three touchdowns in the first half and Alto rolled to 9-0.

The win was the sixth shutout of the seaon for the Jackets.



Bullard 15

Brownsboro 14



Charlie Moore, the quarterback for the Bullard Panthers, did the damage with his toe as he booted a 20-yard field goal with 11 seconds left to give Bullard a 15-14 win over Brownsboro on the road Friday.

Geoff Dick rushed for 100 yards in the win/

The Panthers are now 5-4 overall, 2-2 in district. Brownsboro, the defending district champs, fall to 5-4, 1-3.





Brook Hill was idle this week.
