Baseball: Troup all-conference award winners named

Troup's Blake Johnson, pictured, was one of four Tigers that picked up All-15-3A (first team) recognition.

TROUP — Troup Tiger Baseball placed four men on the All-15-3A Baseball squad's first team.

Pitcher Weslee Ross, catcher Blake Johnson, shortstop Jaden Lewis and third baseman Grayson Driggs each earned first team plaudits, after a voting of the league's coaches was revealed.

Tigers named to the second team were: Brandon Metzig (first baseman), Austin Huml (second baseman), Brandon Pike (outfielder), Jordan Elliott (outfielder) and Cade Jones, designated hitter.

Easton Blackstone of Harmony was homered as the loop's Most Valuable Player.

Harmony's Drew McNeel and Jacob Young of White Oak were honored as Offensive MVPs.

Garnering Defensive Player of the Year honors was Graham Young out of White Oak.
