Fourteen year-old Skylet Bobbitt, a member of Jacksonville's Team Proven, won the junior mixed martial arts championship on September 9 at the Shreveport (La.) Municipal Auditorium.

The win was Bobbitt's first cage title.

Bobbitt's bout lasted three rounds, where she excelled in kick boxing in the opening and final round, while also winning Round 2, which featured grappling.

Bobbitt is tentatively expected to fight again in December.

Also fighting on the card for Team Proven were Nick Rutland, Chris Baker and Cody Flourence.

Rutland won his bout via a rear-naked choke.

Baker and Flourence both represented Team Proven well and gave good efforts in losing by rear-naked chokes.
