Bound for state

The Jacksonville Texas A&M 10U softball team recently finished as the runner-up in its Texas Teenage Association Softball district tournament and will be playing in the 22-team state tournament in Corsicana beginning on Monday. In the above photo team Jacksonville players (maroon tops) pose with a squad from Whitehouse who came in first place in the district tourney. Jacksonville team members are (in no particular order): Alyssa Chavez, Zadasha Redd, Kamyah Lacy, Azleigh Powell, Kendi Canady, Eliza Trujillo and Kaylee Douglas. Also on the team are Karie Rogers, Ryan Ramirez, Emily Sims, TaShiyah Johnson, Mia Guillen and Lauren Shults. The team is coached by Robert Ramirez and Roel Ramirez with “special thanks” to Uncle Jessie Rowley.
