TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Bullard High School-product Major Tennison scored his first points as a member of the Alabama Crimson football team on Saturday afternoon when the Tide rolled passed Duke, 42-3, in the season opener.
Tennison caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tua Tugovailoa with 8:34 left in the third quarter. That score, and the ensuing point after touchdown, expanded the Alabama lead to 21-3.
The touchdown capped off a nine play, 65-yard scoring march.
Tennison (6'-5”, 248-pounds) is a red shirt sophomore at Alabama.
Alabama will play at home again on Saturday when the Aggies of New Mexico State come calling. Kick-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
