Duty takes over controls of Brook Hill volleyball

BULLARD — The Brook Hill School has dipped into the fertile volleyball waters of the Metroplex for its new head volleyball coach. Tyler-native Sonarah Duty, pictured third from right, was recently named as Lady Guard head coach. Duty prepped at Robert E. Lee High School and went on to play for rthe University of Texas-Tyler (2011-13). Most recently Duty has served as the volleyball director for the Waterview Wolves club organization in the Dallas area. Waterview competes at a high level nationally each year.

"Sonorah comes highly recommended as being a great teacher and having a strong love for the game,” Brook Hill athletic director Wally Dawkins said in a media release.

Duty began leading the Lady Guard Volleyball Program in summer workouts earlier this month, competing in Sand Volleyball Tournaments, holding small group and individual position clinics, while hosting open gyms.
