Breaking It Down: Breaking It Down: Not only were the Troup Tigers able to scratch out their first win of the season, but they were able to do it in a manner that should give their young quarterback Jordan Elliott a lot of confidence moving forward. Elliott tossed two touchdown passes including one that covered 65 yards to Desmon Deason, and ran for another touchdown. Elliott went 9-11 through the air for 169 yards while carrying 17 times for 69 yards. He was the Tigers' leading rusher. Deason hauled in six passes for 169 yards (18.8 yards per catch). Max Hale had a phenomenal night for the Troup defense. He led the team with 20 tackles, had four tackles for loss and one quarterback sack. Kaden Mahoney added 12 stops and had one sack.
Up Next: The Tigers will be back at Tiger Stadium on Friday when they host Elkhart (1-1). Friday will be a homecoming in Troup.
