Former Bullard standout drafted by Oakland A's

Peyton Miller, a Bullard High School and Tyler Junior College product, has been drafted in the 14th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Oakland Athletics. He was the 434th overall pick. Miller, who was the TJC closer, went 3-2 with two saves in 14 appearances for the Apaches this past season. He walked 15 and struck out 54 hitters over 39.2 innings of work. The flame thrower has signed with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (NCAA, Division I), but will now have a decision to make it seems.
