Former Jacksonville assistant coach has Moore, Okla HS playing in state semi-finals

MOORE, Okla. — Former Jacksonville assistant football and head baseball coach Brad Hill has led the Moore, Okla.. High School Lions to the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association Class 6A-I state semi-finals.

Last week Moore (6-5) stopped Edmond-Santa Fe, 41-28 to advance to take on Jenks (7-4) at 7 p.m. Friday at Edmond North High School near Oklahoma City.

A Lion would send the team to the state championship game next week where Moore would play either Owasso or Broken Arrow.

Moore, the hometown of country music singer and song writer Toby Keith, is located between Oklahoma City and Norman.

Devastating tornadoes tore through the city in 1999 and 2013.

Hill is in his second season as the Lions' mentor.
