Former Jaguars contributing to CSUSB's hoops success


SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A couple of Jacksonville College exes, Jordan Mitchell and Shea Rax, have been making an impact at California State University San Bernardino (NCAA, Division II, California Collegiate Athletic Conference).

The Coyotes are 10-3 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

Mitchell, a 6'-3”, 195-pound junior out of Fort Worth is averaging 11.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

Rax, one of the Coyote reserves, has been putting in 5.8 points a night and has come down with an average of two rebounds a game.

Rax, who stands 6'-0 and weights 180-pounds, is from Houston.

The Coyotes currently own a three-game winning streak.

CSUSB is tied for fourth place in the league standings, in what is shaping up to be a very competitive race.

CSUSB was founded in 1965 and has an enrollment of 20,311.
