Guard baseballers improve to 4-0

BROOK HILL GUARD BASEBALL

DALLAS — Brook Hill extended its season-opening winning streak to four games on Thursday by edging Dallas Bishop Lynch, 4-3, in opening day play of the Private School Classic Tournament.

Brook Hill (4-0) got on the board first by plating a solo run in the top of the third inning.

The Friars came back to tie things up by getting one run across the dish in the home half of the fourth.

The Guard plated the winning run in the top of the fifth frame.

Friar pitching held Brook Hill to two hits; both of which were singles.

Aidan Mason had a base hit and an RBI for the Guard and Landon Mattox struck a base knock as well.

Seth Moss and Carson Richards scored the Guards' runs.

Mason Youk worked 3.2 innings on the mound and allowed one run (unearned) on six hits (all singles). He walked one and fanned two.

Cade Chesley tossed 1.1 frames and didn't allow any runs. He gave up one hit, walked three and struck out three.
