Rusk Eagles

Chaston Bennett — Bennett scored three touchdowns in Rusk's 69-54 win over Brownsboro on Friday. He carried 13 times and rushed for 171 yards as the Eagles improved to 2-5 overall, 1-0 in District 17-3A.

Ray Foreman — The bruising runner Foreman carried 23 times, gained 170 net yards and burst into the end zone three times.

Leoncio Rivera — The Rusk placekicker was a busy fellow on Friday, booting through 9-of-10 point after touchdown attempts.

Bullard Panthers

Tanner Schmidt — Schmidt accounted for 103 yards on 17 scampers and scored his team's only touchdown in its loss to No. 1-ranked Chapel Hill.

Zach Holladay — One of the kingpins on the Panther defensive side, Holladay had 10 stops, five of which were solo tackles.

Corbin Howard — Howard also made 10 tackles last week, with a half dozen being unassisted stops.

Brook Hill Guard

Gunnar Dorsey — The power back ran 11 times and totaled 80 yards while scoring three touchdowns in the Guard’s 75-0 shelling of Dallas Lutheran.

Will Weathers — The guard quarterback went 10-of-13 through the skies for 145 yards and two touchdowns.

Clay Wells — Wells made good on all 10 of his point after touchdown kicks and also nailed a 41-yard field goal.

Troup Tigers

Hitachi Lydia — The Tigers' top pass catcher had five catches for 116 yards and a pair of touchdown receptions in Troup's district-opening loss to Malakoff.

Brock Grigsby — Grigsby completed 12-of-20 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns.

Alto Yellowjackets

Datrin Moore — Moore led the Mean Sting to a 55-6 hammering of Cushing on Friday. He scored one touchdown on the evening.

Boderick Gasaway — Gasaway tacked on 89 yards on the ground and exploded into the end zone twice.
